San Juan Capistrano Mission
If you follow the link above it will take you to the Wikipedia Page on San Juan Capistrano and the history of the mission. You will also find the story of how the swallows return to Capistrano every year on St. Joseph's Day, March 19. I hope you enjoy. Please leave any comments you'd like. If you like you can also follow the other links on the site to read as much as you like about the mission.
These are pictures of the grounds and the inside of a chapel. I wonder how many people visit each year?

This first statue is of Father Junipero Serra, the second shows Christ on the way to his crucifixion.

These are more pictures. The area appears to be beautiful. Maybe some day I will visit, hopefully on March 19th.

San Juan Capistrano

Victoria recently posted on her blog pictures of birds nesting on her house in Lemoore, California. One of Christopher's friends said he thought they were swallows. This reminded me of San Juan Capistrano, so I went looking on the Internet for information. Here are some pictures of the Mission at San Juan Capistrano.

Springtime in the Low Country--One For Christopher Mullikin

More pictures of Spring. Of course, I have to include an otter. Aren't they just the cutest little things??? Chris, Make sure you look at the very bottom left side of the page so you can see what it's like in Goose Creek!!!

Even more for Christopher....

And of course, what would spring and the Low Country be without the Cooper River Bridge Run. Once again, the Kenyon's won, both men's and women's. They are some of the most graceful runners I have ever seen. It is a tradition to have the Cooper River Bridge Run, and even more of one to have the Kenyon's win. This year we had record setting attendance--who would have ever thought....

More for Christopher

Sunsets on Folley, Azalea's, Dogwoods, NO SNOW, SAil Boats, warm weather, NO SNOW...

.....And This one is for Christopher

These are just some pictures of the Charleston area in Spring. Charlestons really is a beautiful place in the spring--all the flowers and the trees starting to bud....

Victoria! This one's for you!!!!!!!

Mike and I were off today and so we decided to do something for our daughter, Victoria. She wrote to me the other day and said she was wishing she could have a hamburger from 5 Guys Burger and Fries. She went online to find one near her, but sadly to say, there were no stores in her area. But, she was surprised to see we now have them in Charleston. Yes, we are coming up in the world. So, Victoria, here you are. Hope you enjoy. We sure did!!
